I was pretty nervous. We hadn’t seen each other in quite a long time. Actually, it’s been my fault for I’ve been very busy lately. Although she is such a celebrity, she is always willing to find time for me. I wanted to look representative, I mean meeting a VIP is a big deal. Consider this: she is working 24 hours a day, seven days a week, simply put – always ready, has the most prolific management skills, provides a flawless list of items present at her workplace, for she never ceases to lose control over the inventory, is able to do at least 5 activities at a time while thinking of 98745612 other things, gives the best advice even if you don’t ask for it or you don’t know that you need it yet, she can look good in anything and can create a fancy dress out of old rags, is very handy and offers complex solutions at a snap of the fingers, and what is more she is a walking encyclopaedia and dictionary. So as you can see, it’s quite easy to feel intimidated by her. However, she makes you feel like the centre of the universe. She is able to create the impression that you are making her a favour with spending time with her, although it’s the other way around.
We were supposed to meet up in a lovely café in the city. I feel honoured every time I can spend time with such a personality. Despite the fact she is the most admirable person in the world, she is at the same time the most down to earth woman I know.
I’ve learnt so much from her! Basically, she’s been my role model ever since I can remember and I’ve always wanted to be like her. I hope to make her proud of who I’ve grown up to – and it’s all thanks to her.
I was thrilled to see her already sitting in the café. Always at the right place at the right time. I opened the door and made my way to her table. I didn’t understand why they hadn’t prepared the red carpet :). My broad smile was reflected on her face. Mum gave me a warm hug and I leaned onto her shoulder. Each time giving more than I can ever repay… I love you, Mum, and thank you for loving me unconditionally and for everything you do!
